Living Wall

About a month ago, my office decided to get experiment with the vertical green. We've got this mock up wall from one of our supplier. They installed an automatic irrigation system for the green wall, together with artificial light. So far we're still trying to prove weather the vertical green can work well.


This idea first commercialized by a French guy call Patrick Blanc. I saw one on Quay Branly wall in Paris. Blanc's idea is superb, as he tries to create pattern made of vegetation on the building.


Now apparently in Indonesia, it's starting to get popular. It is mostly because of the limitation space to create greenery, and therefore they tried to build it vertically. Here are some of the example:
