I went to @America today with my best girls, Adeline and Helena. Glen Fredly, one of the Indonesian singers, had a concert there to entertain the crowd. It was really FUN and he has a very interesting characteristic. At the end of the concert, Glen gave message for us to help spread the news to SAVE PAPUA. Let PEACE exist in the land of Papua.

The dragon resurrection. Only a week from Chinese New Year and Pacific Place has prepared some decorations to celebrate it. this dragon body is made of spandex wrapped around steel wire. It looks simple and kinda cool.

I catch a glimpse of this motorbike on my way home. And look at what the man's bring.. that's a huge knife. And YES, it is legal to bring that kind of stuffs around the city.

My friend, Helena and I decided to hunt for a ramen place at North Jakarta area. After googling and asking around friends, we finally found it. The Hakata Ikkousha, famous for 48hr cooked broth. One of the interesting scene over there was this chef that carry around a fly bat everywhere he goes. Is the kitchen really that bad? Or maybe he uses it for something else. Yeah, definitely not a good advertisement. Luckily, people hardly notice this kind of stuff.

My friends and I were planning to go for a run on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, it was raining on and off.. and at the end, we decided to still meet up at 9am. But, being Indonesian, not being on-time has already embedded in the culture. It wasn't that bad though. 
We didn't run at the end, but just walking around the housing complex. And I saw this elephant statue sits on the podium of a house. It made my day :)

Part of the decorations at one of the food-courts in Jakarta. The food-court tries to create an ambiance of a supermarket, and hence it displays lots of (expired) can products. I wonder if there's an accident involving breaking all the can products, what kind of smell it will generate.

hahaha Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of led lighting. But I guess, 1 won't hurt that much. Just wait til the whole city tries to compete with each others.. then it will become an eye sore :)

New Year's eve booze preparation. This year, my friends and I are having a year end celebration at my house. We will have party with close friends (only the best people)..., some booze, some snacks, and fire works. With best crowd, I'm only expecting awesomeness :)

I don't think I have a full focus on this project during this change of year weekend. And therefore, in order just for the sake of the project, I took pic of my reading list at the moment. It's not great really, but I think this shows a little bit of my current interests. The first one would be a Chinese poem book with lots of colour pics, by Jimmy Liao- this is to remind me to keep learning Zhongwen. Nagabumi is an Indonesian book- probably this is the first Indo book that I read after 10 year if not more. Rafa refers to Rafael Nadal- yeah.. am a fan.. hahaha. The Beijing Concensus is the book that telling about the economic phenomena in China. Kurzmeyer-- is a book of painting by Max Von Moss.

Where the hell is everyone? It's the week in between Christmas and NY.. and even though there's no holiday at all at my office.. somehow, the holiday mood is super strong.

This is what I found early in the morning on my way to the office. No one seems to notice this poor bird. Well, maybe it's just me that easily amazed with this small thing lying on the ground. :) And in my thought, this is something unusual picture of the day. And heyyy.., that reminds me of a project that I've been intended to do. Project 365. Maybe this is a sign. :)
